[00:00:06] The Rocky Review Podcast hosted by J. Rock Rude.
[00:00:41] Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the return finally in 2020 five of the Rocking Review Podcast. Thank you so much for listening. My name is J. Rock Rude and I am the host of the one and only Rocking Review Podcast. And today we are back in with talking about the W's in pro wrestling and it's the best time of the year folks. It's Mania season and the first part on the road to to WrestleMania is that one and only glorious event known as the Royal Rumble. 30 men and 30 women will enter two separate matches where one man or woman will be declared the winner and will challenge for whomever they want for the World Championship at WrestleMania Mania. We are going to go over those particular matches and go over who are my predictions to go and win those matches respectfully. We'll also talk about the two other title matches that will be happening on the Royal Rumble card. We're also going to take a look at what was as of this recording, last night's Go Home Raw that led to two insane moments. One very heartbreaking, very scary, and then the other possibly a hint of what we can expect in the Royal Rumble itself. We will also be talking about AEW Collision and the moment that basically will be the draw, the second draw of course to its Grand Slam Australia special show that will happen on Saturday, February 15th. But we also have a new segment but we'll get to that in just a moment. Real quickly, a reminder that our socials that we have are on X and Instagram. On X we are the rock that is R A W K sports pod P O D that is on X and on Instagram we are the rocking review that's R A W K I N G review. And of course that is where you can always find the posts of when we upload an episode. Our teaser for the episode I uploaded on both pages on Instagram and X of the brand new intro that you heard at the start of the show. Amazing. I've been wanting to do that intro for a long while. If you know the rhythm and you know the melody, you know that that is a banger song and I love to do my intro based off of that. But without further ado, let's get on to the surprise segment.
[00:03:53] So if many of the original listeners remember, I originally wanted this show to be all of sports. I wanted to be basketball, football, baseball, anything that I really enjoyed watching that was not pro wrestling and not just pro wrestling I wanted to talk about. But first episode came out and I realized that was a lot to me, going over the games, going over different stuff. I was like, I don't know if this is the best thing for me. But then again, I thought about it and I said, you know what, I still love to talk about the sport. I still love to talk about the sports that I love, like basketball and football and everything like that. So as a brand new segment for 2025, every single episode, we are going to start out with one particular non pro wrestling story that is about pro sports. So basketball, football, baseball, you name it. We'll talk about any major stories that are coming out and we will go ahead and give our takes on it. And today's story is of course about the one and only current forward on the Miami Heat.
[00:05:26] It is Jimmy Butler. Jimmy Butler has had the last six seasons on the Miami Heat.
[00:05:41] He has led them to two NBA Finals. First in 2020 in the bubble against the Los Angeles Lakers, and then in 2023 where they eventually did get beat out by the champions, the Denver Nuggets.
[00:06:02] So what came to this suspension? Well, we have a bit of a timeline of going from the start of the season all the way to what we found out about on Sunday night.
[00:06:21] So we have here that at the start of the 2024, 2025 season training camp, he made a declaration of not shenanigans, right? And he was optimistic about the upcoming season. They made it to the first round, they went into the play ins, they won, they got the eight seed, but they lost four to one against the eventual champions, the Boston Celtics in the first round. Then we shifted midway through the first parts of the season, he's kind of, you know, shifting around and the Heat aren't looking so good. Mrs. Five games due to an illness and he returns, but he can't perform. He only scores 18 points in two games.
[00:07:16] So now there's speculations wondering of, okay, well what's happening is a team situation, is this a coaching situation? Why is Butler not performing like he used to?
[00:07:33] So then it was made report that on December 10 that there were reports that possibly the Heat would begin listening in on trade offers for Jimmy Butler.
[00:07:47] So now you can kind of see like, okay, now they're shifting away from Jimmy Butler, who's been there for like six seasons, and they don't really know, you know, what's going on.
[00:07:58] And it wasn't until 15 days later, on Christmas Day, when it was officially announced that Butler had reported and expressed a desire to be actually traded.
[00:08:10] And this definitely escalated the tensions between Butler and Heat. It Was then revealed that Pat Riley did announce that they are not interested in trading for Butler after he had requested it.
[00:08:29] Then an oppressor following a loss to the Indiana Pacers. Butler then made it openly and he acknowledged that he had dissatisfaction with the current situation and reports about him being traded and the team's progression during that season.
[00:08:49] And he said that he wanted to find joy again on the court.
[00:08:54] And when he was asked if he could achieve that in Miami, he just simply responded, probably not.
[00:09:03] So then few days later, January 3rd, the heat sent out a report.
[00:09:12] Because of multiple instances of conduct detrimental to the team, the Miami Heat suspend Jimmy Butler for seven whole games. And you gotta think about that, gee, seven whole games. Because he officially announced like he does not want to play in Miami anymore and he does not find any joy in it anymore.
[00:09:38] So then it looks like he's going to come back. But then January 22, he's suspended again for two games for continued pattern of disregard for team rules, insubordinate conduct and conduct detrimental to the team again.
[00:09:58] Now the reason for this was because of an action by Butler of missing a team flight till Milwaukee to face the Bucks.
[00:10:11] So now you got another two game suspension. So that's a total of nine games already in the beginning of 2025 that Jimmy Butler misses and then on the 27th.
[00:10:26] So this would have been Monday morning when it was looked to be a return for Butler after a second suspension and they were going to go on to face the Orlando Magic. Butler then walked out of the team's morning shoot around after he was informed that he would be replaced in the starting lineup by Haywood Highsmith for that night's game.
[00:10:53] After that, the team announced that there would be an indefinite suspension lasting at least five games. And because of this suspension, this is going to extend through the February 6th trade deadline.
[00:11:11] The team cited that there was continued pattern of disregard for team rules, engaging in conduct detrimental to the team again and initially withholding services.
[00:11:23] So now we go from preseason hype of no shenanigans. We're going to be the Miami Heat team that we were beforehand. We've made it to the playoffs, made it to the finals for two years in the last five.
[00:11:38] He misses a couple of games, he struggles in those games. Miami Heat are reportedly trying to trade up a little bit. And then finally Christmas Day, Butler just says, you know what, I want to be traded. I don't find any joining this anymore. I want to find Jordan back on the court. I want to play the game basketball like how I wanted to and you know, he basically says that he cannot do that in Miami. So then this entire month has been all about him walking out, what he said about the team. He's posted lots of cryptic messages on social media about not being listened to and being out of a job. This is what happens, man, when a player wants to get out of the situation that they're in, they are going to beg, borrow and steal and do whatever that they want to try and get out of that deal. Several people have done it before now, mind you that this year in only 25 games, Butler has only averaged about 17 points, 5.2 rebounds and 4.8 assists per game.
[00:12:50] Again, that's not absolute amazing play on the court, but it shows probably why this year of all years of the last six seasons that Butler has been a part of the Miami Heat organization, why they would want to look over possibly some trade options. But believe it or not, if you know Jimmy Butler, you know he's had a history of disagreements with the team. So of course, let's take it back to when he was first called as the 30th pick in the 2011 draft by the Chicago Bulls. He was drafted and this is the only other team other than the Heat that he has spent longer in than his other previous two teams, which we'll talk about.
[00:13:39] And his big scuffles started in October of 2014 when Butler turned down a four year, forty million dollar extension betting on himself to get a bigger contract because this was a breakout season for Butler. Now in 2015 he would end up getting most improved player.
[00:14:01] But at this point he thought about it and he knew that he was a lot bigger than what people perceived him as. So he declined that four year contract, the extension, he said, I'm gonna do something bigger.
[00:14:16] Between 2014 and 2016, it caused friction of Butler stardom between veterans and former MVP Derrick Rose and Jakeem Noah.
[00:14:31] And there was different leadership styles and locker room tensions.
[00:14:36] And then following in the 20152016 season, both rose and Noah were traded.
[00:14:43] And then on June 22, 2017, after a turbulent 20162017 season, Butler was then traded to the Minnesota Timberwolves, which the Bulls received Zach Levine, who stayed on there since Chris Dunn, he's been moved around a couple times. And the number seven pick in the 2017 draft, which was used for Laurie Markkanen, who is currently on the Utah Jazz. So then you go to the Minnesota Timberwolves and this is the infamous moments that a lot of people remember about Jimmy Butler and where really this kind of saltiness really kind of started. So his first season in Minnesota was a success as he made his fourth consecutive all star appearance. And he led the team to the playoffs, making a 13 year postseason drought. But because of an injury, he missed 17 games late in the season, which dropped the Wolves from the fourth seed to the eighth seed in the standings.
[00:15:47] And then they were quickly rushed out of the playoffs by the Houston Rockets, which were still led at that time by James Harden.
[00:15:58] And because of that, Butler then became fed up with the team's young core, particularly current New York Knicks player Carl Anthony Towns.
[00:16:09] Later 2018, July 13, he declines another four year contract extension.
[00:16:16] And he was not satisfied with the franchise's direction for what he was going to do. And then it was made public that after his first season with the Timberwolves, on September 20, 2018, he requested a trade again.
[00:16:32] And then on October 10, a month later, he would end up going to practice and he would verbally confront the then GM Scott Landon by shouting, you effin need me, Scott. You can't win without me. He then dominated the scrimmage games and he took the bench players to win over the starters. So, so that spoke about his character. He chose the bench players, not the starting lineup players that he's usually accustomed to playing with. He, he chose the bench players and he led them to win. And then ironically enough, he then later that day, after having the same issues with practice, sat down with ESPN's Rachel Nichols and he discussed his frustration with the Timberwolves organization.
[00:17:30] Now that's something bold when you straight up are verbally confronting the gm, just telling him, you need me, you can't win without me. That's something big. And then when you go on ESPN and nationally tell that to the world, you can tell where a lot of that shift, you know, that dynamic really started to change.
[00:17:54] And then finally on November 10th, Butler was traded to the 76ers for Robert Covington, Doro Sarek, Jared Bayless, and a 2022 second round pick. So then we got to the Philadelphia 76ers, and in the first season he played a key role in their playoff run. He helped them reach the semifinals.
[00:18:26] The Sixers ended up losing that game to the Toronto Raptors in that iconic game seven buzzer beater from Kawhi Leonard. And then it was in the offseason of 2019, Butler was eligible for the max contract of five years, 190 million.
[00:18:47] But the Sixers instead gave that to Tobias Harris and facilitated a sign and trade deal that sent Butler to the Miami Heat in exchange for Josh Richardson, which then led to his first stint with the Heat. And it was initially where I first came across, and I really start to take in the importance of the NBA, and I started liking it. And one of the first teams I ever liked was the Miami Heat. And the very first jersey I got, as, you know, low as it was, was a yellow city jersey for Jimmy Butler.
[00:19:33] If you ever go online, you look up a yellow Miami Heat jersey, you know which one I'm talking about. It's not the vice one.
[00:19:41] It wasn't the black or the white one. It was a yellow one that they wore a couple of games during his first season there.
[00:19:52] So now the question comes around of who do they trade Butler to? If they go through with this trade by February 6th and the teams that are in the lower standings are on the Western Conference, that possibly couldn't eat him have been Phoenix, who's the eighth seed, which have been discussed of being a third player in already. What is a dynamic duo of Kevin Durant and Den Booker. You got the Dallas Mavericks, who are sitting at the 9th, which again, they already got their trio. They got Luka, Kyrie and Clay.
[00:20:41] But if you add Butler to it, you get a little bit more star power. But the biggest one of all is really Golden State.
[00:20:51] Golden State is trying to look to come back like they have in previous years. They're currently the 11th seed, and right now they're out of plans.
[00:21:03] So the goal is possibly to get some trades with Kyle Anderson, maybe Draymond Green, or, you know, move some pieces around, and then you get Curry and Butler on the same team. Now, that's really, really huge if you get Curry and Butler on the same team.
[00:21:19] Another option, dark horse, San Antonio. They're the 12th seed. They've been struggling very much, but then you got that, you know, trio option of Paul Wembedyama and Butler. But the teams in the higher standings and the higher seeds that probably could, you know, look at that and be like, okay, we're leading pretty good. We might as well go for it, get some extra star power on the team. And the biggest one being the number two seeded in the West, Houston Rockets. And that Houston Rockets team is on fire right now with Jalen Green and Ahmed Thompson.
[00:21:57] Everybody on that team, I think, would possibly benefit. You got Dylan Brooks on there as well, Fred Van Fleet. There is a lot of potential if they sign Butler over to that.
[00:22:13] Other options.
[00:22:15] Memphis, they're number three right now.
[00:22:18] Morant, Jackson, Bain, that could be a good fit.
[00:22:24] You got Milwaukee. Milwaukee. I feel like that would be a huge one. You already got Damon Giannis, so you add Butler to that mix, you already got a couple of key players on that team.
[00:22:41] And then you got Denver, who's only sitting on number four in the Western Conference. But again, you know, they got their three, same as Dallas. You got, you know, Westbrook, Jokic and Murray and everybody else on that team. I think that they could definitely benefit from having a Jimmy Butler. But regardless, this is huge.
[00:23:07] This happens every now and then. A player will be dysfunctional and he will not respect the wishes of his current team.
[00:23:15] But I'm very excited to see what happens. Of course it's very unprofessional in Butler's remarks and his actions, you know, towards the Miami Heat organization. But again, like, he's one of the main reasons I got into basketball and he's one of the main reasons I've become a Miami Heat fan. I actually have my own Miami Heat custom made jersey with my name on it and the number 20 for my 20 birthday that I got.
[00:23:42] So, you know, I'm very much looking forward to where and if Jimmy Butler ends up going to for the rest of this 2025 season.
[00:23:53] Moving on, it is finally time to talk about the Royal Rumble.
[00:24:04] Man, oh man, this is one of the most exciting times ever to be a wrestling Rumble fan. This is the first stop on the road to WrestleMania and two incredible and very huge matches will happen to determine who will challenge for whichever world champion that they choose for WrestleMania in the main event.
[00:24:30] So we're going to go ahead, we're going to go over the matches, we're going to go over who's already been announced and we will go from there. But before we get to the Rumble matches, there are two championship matches that we will discuss. The first one being for the WWE Tag Team Championships.
[00:24:49] It is DIY of Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa against Motor City Machine Guns, Alex Shelley and Chris Saban in a two out of three falls match.
[00:25:06] So I don't believe I talked about that smackdown where they were crowned the new champions.
[00:25:15] I think I did, possibly. But DIY successfully took the championships off of Motor City Machine Guns after they had beaten the bloodline 2.0 about, I want to say three weeks before.
[00:25:35] And DIY have changed. They are now on their heel run right now.
[00:25:41] But then again you got Motor City Machine Guns, Alex Shelley and Chris Saban. But the biggest thing is this is the first time since WrestleMania 40 that the tag Team Championships have been Defended on a plaque, which is huge. I don't know what happened to it. I think I've discussed this. I don't know why they stopped doing the tag championships on the ples. But now you got two huge tag teams of DIY Motor City Machine Guns. Not to mention, this is the Motor City Machine Guns ple debut and it's in front of a record breaking almost 61,000 people at the Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana, home of the Indianapolis Colts, which, by the way, is the most attended royal rumble since 1997 in the Alamo Dome. If you ask me, I have DIY having this match. I think that they will do dirty heel tactics. They'll get a low blow in there, they'll score that final fall, and boom, you got a banger match. Two out of three falls. This is DIY specialty. And I already know that this is where Motor City Machine Guns are going to be able to shine in the bright lights with that big of a crowd. And, you know, having somebody like Shelley and Saban, you know, wrestle in front of probably their biggest crowd they've ever fought. This is, this is going to be super big for both, both teams. But I got DIY retaining the WWE Tag Team Champions next up. This has been a whirlwind of different things going on because there's so much that has happened since the last episode and up until now.
[00:27:42] But we got Cody Rhodes taking on Kevin Owens in a ladder match for the undisputed WWE Championship, in which the undisputed title, which is the normal title, and the Winged Eagle, the classic belt from the early 90s, will be hung above the ring and whoever pulls down both straps will be the champion. Now, the Winged Eagle came from the very first Saturday night's main event. I briefly talked about my predictions on the last episode, and I was hoping that Kevin Owens was going to win that match. He did not win that match. But what had happened was Cody Rhodes came out with the classic Winged Eagle belt from the 90s, not the late 90s that you probably saw a lot of with the Rock or Triple H. I think Triple H was really synonymous. Kurt Angle withholding that type of championship, but the early 90s. So talking about the original one, you know, stuff with Yokozuna, Bret Hart, Hulk Hogan, people like that.
[00:29:06] And Cody Rhods was able to bring it out for one night only at that Saturday night's main event, in which he ended up winning by hitting a crossroads on a steel chair that was in the ring by Kevin Owens.
[00:29:20] And he got the 1, 23 and postmatch, Kevin Owens ambushed him after the match and delivered a package, pile driver, which is one of his biggest finishing moves that he used on the Indies.
[00:29:34] He then stole the Winged Eagle Championship, the replica, and he began parading it around as if he was the champion. And he actually. Two reports he did actually defend the Winged Eagle title on house shows.
[00:29:55] So then after a few weeks of gallivanting with the Replica Championship, Cody came back and he suggested that you hang both of the titles up high in a ladder match. And whoever wins is the undisputed championship. Now, of course, Cody is still the actual champion, unlike Kevin Owens, who is believing himself to be the rightful champion. But since then, it's been back and forth, Kevin Owens basically saying like, he is going to win it. And he said that he would love to face guys like Rey Mysterio.
[00:30:40] But the biggest one of all of these confrontations with Kevin Owens parading around as the fake champion was Sami Zayn.
[00:30:52] And a few weeks ago, he went up to Sammy and he told Sami, he said, I know no matter what, you will be by my side and you are going to help me take the title away from Cody. And then you're going to go on be in the Royal Rumble and we are going to face each other in the main event of WrestleMania.
[00:31:16] I don't believe a lot of people thought about that early on with the Kevin Owens situation. But now when people have been thinking about it and what has been going on the last couple weeks on Raw, on Netflix, which we'll get into in a little bit, a Kevin owens, Sami Zayn WWE Championship match in the main event of WrestleMania is an absolute fever dream for anybody that was a fan of their rivalry that they had for almost seven to eight plus years over in ROH with El Generico and Kevin Steen.
[00:31:55] This would be huge for both men to get in that type of spotlight. Wouldn't be the first time they'd be in the main event, but this is the first time that they would be in the main event facing each other more importantly for the undisputed WB championship.
[00:32:14] So then that lies the question who ends up winning it on Saturday.
[00:32:19] If I gotta be honest, it's Cody.
[00:32:25] I don't believe that Sammy is gonna be ready yet. I don't think they're fully gonna turn Sammy heel already, even though that there have been signs of him doing that. I think that Sammy is just going to tough it out and they might tease us.
[00:32:43] And then Sammy pushes the ladder over and Cody goes up and he wins.
[00:32:51] And then he will face whoever wins either the real Rumble or the elimination chamber at WrestleMania. So I got Cody Rhodes beating Kevin Owens in the ladder match and now we finally get to the first of the two Royal Rumbles. And this is the Women's Rumble.
[00:33:14] So currently the field right now have been 10 people.
[00:33:21] It has been Nia, Jax, Bayley, Naomi, Bianca Belair, Liv Morgan, Raquel Rodriguez, Lyra Valkyria, Ivy Nyo and Iyo Sky.
[00:33:36] Now, I know what you're saying, that's only nine. Who's the 10th that's already been announced?
[00:33:42] Well, it is a returning Charlotte Flair.
[00:33:49] So Charlotte has not ben in the ring since December of 2023, where she was defeated by Asuka at the Smackdown tribute to the Troops.
[00:34:05] So it's been a full year since Charlotte Flair has last competed and it was a leg injury that took her out and she began rehabilitating and training.
[00:34:18] Now she's finally back. She's got an upgrade.
[00:34:23] She is looking incredible and she's looking ready to be in the Rumble. And I'm sure a lot of people are probably thinking that she's gonna win, but I don't think that she will win this one. I believe she will win the Elimination Chamber and that is where we'll get Tiffany Stratton versus Charlotte Flair. And I know that that will be an amazing match for both women. This is going to help produce Tiffany Stratton and send her to the stratosphere.
[00:35:00] So that is one of the people that is all the people that have been previously announced.
[00:35:08] But the person I have winning it is Eos Guy. I think Iyo sky is the fan favorite. Iyo sky is the person that I think a lot of people want to see win. Iyo has been given this push in the last couple of years. She won money in the bank, she cashed it in, she was the WWE Women's Champion. A lot of people really would love to see Iyo sky go on win the Rumble and then probably go on to face Rhea Ripley at WrestleMania.
[00:35:42] I do have however, a list of some surprises that have not been announced.
[00:35:47] I know that at least the few people that probably not announced yet, that probably will be announced later will be like people like Selena Vega, Sheena Baszler, Zoey Stark.
[00:36:02] So a lot of people. But these are the surprises that are outside of the main roster and the very first one is Jordan Grace. And if you read online at reports by Fightful select, it was reported that Jordan Grace has officially inked a multi year contract with the WWE after she just finished out her contract and her last match with tna.
[00:36:35] Now the question is what does Grace do? Does she get shifted to the NXT roster where she has wrestled previously or does she get sent to the main roster? Preferably I have her start with down in the NXT and you get her a rivalry with Julia, then she ends up winning it. And yes, she's a little bit old to be in the nxt, but so is about nearly half of the great people that are on that roster. Like a Trick Williams, like an Ethan Page, even Julia who's been on the wrestling circuit for years now.
[00:37:21] So I have her entering this. This is the second year in a row she'll enter. Last year she entered and was the TNA Knockouts champion.
[00:37:32] I also have NXT people like Seoul Ruka being in this match. Julia, like I had mentioned previously, I have her being in this match. Rock Zan Perez. This is the one that has not been announced and most likely will be announced pretty much sooner than later or they'll keep it to a surprise. But on NXT and on Raw and smackdown, Roxanne Perez, the former NXT women's champion has had a rivalry with Bayley. She actually threw hands with Bayley beforehand and they got into a fight. She's been on countless different smackdowns and raws.
[00:38:18] Most notably she was removed from the crowd by a security guard during a match with Bailey and Nia Jax on Raw.
[00:38:29] But I have a feeling Roxanne Perez will be in this match. Cora Jade, I have her being in this match. Cora Jade was just featured challenging Masha Slamovich for the Knockouts Champion at the last Pay per View for TNA for Genesis and then the last NXT or TNA surprise I have is Rosemary. Rosemary. I feel like I, I don't know if this is like something that would be up her wheelhouse, but if Rosemary was in the Rumble, I think this would be huge.
[00:39:12] And then there's the returns.
[00:39:15] There's one return I did not have up there, but there was one return I wrote on here and that's Asuka.
[00:39:21] Asuka has been reported that she is looking for an in ring return. I think this would be huge. I think then you get a mix of Iyo and Asuka and then Iyo can do the betrayal spot and eliminate Asuka. Probably Asuka could be definitely Final Four. I can't guarantee Final Four.
[00:39:48] If it was up to me, I think Final Four personally would be Iyo, Charlotte, Jordan, Grace and Asuka or possibly Nia Jax. But as far as the Women's Rumble, I have Iyo sky winning the whole thing and going on to challenge Rhea Ripley for the World Women's Champion.
[00:40:16] Then we have finally the Men's Royal Rumble. And I will say this is the most stacked and star studded Rumble that a lot of people have seen in the last couple years.
[00:40:32] So first off, we'll talk about the common names right now.
[00:40:37] So not the big names, but the common names. We got La Knight, Rey Mysterio, Sami Zayn, Shinsuke Nakamura, Shad Gable, Bron Breaker and Carmelo Hayes.
[00:40:53] Now let's talk about the big ones. And the first big one is Penta.
[00:41:00] So penta, penta el0 mural, the former member of the Lucha Brothers, which currently Ray Phoenix is still held up behind bars and has refused to be given any time on AEW television.
[00:41:18] Penta debuted on Raw on Netflix on January 13th. He came out, he defeated Chad Gable in an absolute banger of a match. And both men, even Chad and Penta, both ended up elevating their characters and it was such a big debut. He got an amazing reception in the San Jose crowd that night and it is now the Penta era.
[00:41:52] So he is going to be in the Royal Rumble. So we'll most likely get a little interaction with Rey and Penta and that is going to blow the minds of a lot of the iwc.
[00:42:05] We also have Seth Freakin Rollins.
[00:42:10] Seth Freakin Rollins is in this match and he is definitely looking to get some redemption and trying to get to the world title picture again.
[00:42:21] We also got Logan Paul. Logan Paul's back now. He appeared on the Go Home show and confronted Gunter.
[00:42:29] So there's a possibility that Logan Paul could end up winning the rumble.
[00:42:35] Drew McIntyre, he's there. He's been causing some scuffles, preferably with Sami Zayn and Drew is probably looking at trying to get back to the world title picture.
[00:42:54] And then you got the big ones.
[00:42:58] You got Jey uso. Jey uso. He's not really considered a big one, but he's just considered a lot higher than a lot of those other people because he's a. He's just a big entrance and everybody just gets into him. So you know you'd love to see it. But the biggest ones are these three.
[00:43:17] CM Punk, Roman Reigns and John Cena.
[00:43:24] Now on the first episode of RAW on January 6, John Cena came out and addressed that there might be a possibility of him winning number 17 at WrestleMania or just generally anytime during his farewell tour.
[00:43:47] But consequently enough, Cena has been off shooting a movie before the Rumble.
[00:43:58] So if Anybody is thinking that John Cena is going to win the rubble. He's not.
[00:44:03] Will John Cena win the Elimination Chamber? Possibly.
[00:44:09] And if he does not win either the Rumble or the Chamber, then what is the plan for Mania?
[00:44:18] If I'm honest, I don't know.
[00:44:21] I don't know what we see John Cena doing at WrestleMania.
[00:44:25] Other than the Logan Paul Report, there is no other storyline that would work for John Cena to be a part of.
[00:44:40] Possibly Bron Breakker finally getting the Intercontinental Championship, being a Grand Slam Champion finally in his last year, who knows?
[00:44:53] But that is only 15 superstars. There is still another 15 to go through.
[00:45:01] So my TNA people that I would love to see in this number one guarantee is gonna be Joe Hendry. Joe Hendry is going to be in this Rumble no matter what. Now, Joe Hendry did finally beat Nick Nemeth at Genesis to become the TNA World Champion.
[00:45:19] And if you ask me, I think a lot of people will say this. Joe Hendry lost esteem.
[00:45:29] Joe Hendry is a character unlike any other person in the wrestling industry right now. But he is just not good in the ring. He is okay, he is athletic, but he does not have that charisma, preferably that I like to watch.
[00:45:50] Another person in TNA who actually just quit and was currently out of the contract and most likely will be used by WWE is Josh Alexander.
[00:46:08] I said this before, but Josh Alexander would be perfect for for wwe. And if it's not the main roster, it's nxt, facsium, Nathan Frazier and Axiom, which by the way, that's another person I do have meeting in this match from nxt, either Nation, Frazier or Axie, because they were an absolute amazing tag team. They were tag team of the year, basically, bar none. And it's in crazy. It's crazy that a developmental team with two young guys like Frazier and Axiom would get that type of distinct pleasure of being one of the top tag teams. And there were the workhorses.
[00:46:55] But imagine if Josh Alexander comes into wwe, he goes to NXT and he revives the north with Ethan Page. Ethan Page is currently in a nothing feud, really with Javon Evans and breaking his jaw.
[00:47:13] So now Ethan Page gets Alexander on nxt. They challenge for the tag team champions and they win.
[00:47:25] That is going to be huge.
[00:47:27] And then Alexander, he can spend some time up in nxt, you can defend the titles and then you bring them up to the main roster and then you get the big match. I'd love to see.
[00:47:41] When you talk about Josh Alexander is Alexander versus Gable, I think that would be huge.
[00:47:49] Two clones of Kurt Angle, not Perk Angle, Peak Angle. Now going at it. Technical powerhouse.
[00:48:00] Would be absolutely amazing to see.
[00:48:04] The other person from TNA that I'd love to see and I think this year will be more able to happen.
[00:48:16] This year more than any other year is Matt Cardona. Not Zack Ryder, but the indie God, Matt Cardona. Always ready.
[00:48:28] For years and years and years, Matt Cardona has said, I'm not gonna call WWE to come back. They're gonna call me. And if they call me, it's gonna be one of the biggest moments. And guess what? He's not wrong. Matt Cardona has raised his stock further than any other ex WWE star ever.
[00:48:52] And I'm talking more than Cody did when he went to aew.
[00:48:56] I'm talking more than Bryan did. I'm talking more than Jon Moxley did.
[00:49:02] This guy is not held down by any contract of any other promotion in the world. His most common one being Game Changer Wrestling. But that's already a crappy promotion anyway.
[00:49:16] But it has produced some stars and preferably it helped produce stars like Matt Cardona.
[00:49:26] His death match with Nick Gage, where he won the GCW World Championship, elevated Matt Cardona to a level nobody has seen since. And since then he has rode that wave for so long and he just continues go up and up and up and up. He's been used by TNA the last couple times. He recently challenged Joe Hendry in his first title defense. He had his rivalry with pco, which that was a very big story that broke out when PCO was, you know, let go from TNA and he had a replica Digital Media Championship and he started cutting a chute anti TNA promo at GCW's big event up at the Hammerstein Ballroom.
[00:50:20] So I do and would love to see Matt Cardona in the Royal Rumble. Nxt, Trick Williams and Wesley, that's one of the biggest ones. And, and either Nathan Frazier or Axiom, but Trick Williams or Wesley is going to be in this Rumble.
[00:50:42] And then you got the returns.
[00:50:46] And the first return that I have is Ilya Dragunov. Ilya Dragunov, he suffered an injury at a house show in a match against Gunter Overseas and he has been out since then. He was not there for the debut on Raw.
[00:51:04] So I have a very good chance that Ilya Dragunov will return. The Dragon will return.
[00:51:15] And no matter what brand he's on, this guy, he's gonna make money.
[00:51:21] He is going to make money.
[00:51:25] And then the other return that I have is Randy Orton. Randy Orton has not been seen since the pile driver delivered to him by Kevin Owens. This would be perfect.
[00:51:36] Now the only way this is perfect is if there ends up being a spot where somebody gets beat up and spot in the rumble gets taken by Kevin Owens. And then Kevin Owens starts to go on a rampage. He eliminates some people maybe and then Randy comes out, Randy eliminates Kevin. Boom. Then, then there you go, there's your match. Kevin and Randy at probably elimination chamber. And then you have whatever that you need to at the WrestleMania. Now, of course, the biggest one that a lot of people have been talking about is possibly the Rock.
[00:52:22] Now the Rock has not been on TV since actually January 7, the night after the Raw on Netflix debut in which the Rock, he came out and he buddy buddied with Cody Rhodes.
[00:52:42] Instead of Cody Rhodes being like, hey, you completely broke me last year.
[00:52:50] You said that you were going to deliver a weight belt covered in my blood to my mother.
[00:52:58] Instead they're drinking Wheatley vodka and chucking up. And then the night after, on his daughter's promotion, delivered the most F bombs in an NXT promo ever.
[00:53:20] But it was in la. It was in a crowd that was hot for the Rock. And he delivered whatever he could in the time remaining. And he took away that main event spot from Trick Williams, Eddie Thorpe and Obafemi, in which Obifemi became the new NXT world champion. He wanted to get some more time in and he actually explained that again, just like before, that you enjoy the ride the Rock is taking you on.
[00:53:55] What he could mean by that? Only he knows. We're gonna talk about the promo that ended the show on the go home Raw in a little bit.
[00:54:05] And the speculation from that is not about who said what was said, but could they be insinuating somebody else that is possibly the Rock. If anybody wins the men's rumble, I have CM Punk. This is going to be big for Punk to win his first rumble to go in main event WrestleMania and then win the world title. And the question is, does he go for Gunter or does he go for Cody? And in all honesty, I think he goes for Gunter.
[00:54:44] I think we get Gunter versus Punk. Punk overcomes the mammoth of a man that is Gunter that nobody thinks is going to be beaten for the title. And I think Punk ends up winning and that's your main event.
[00:55:00] But unfortunately it's gonna be night one, main event. Night two, main event is gonna be whoever Cody ends up facing. If it's Roman who wins it, then we get Cody and Roman. 3 and if not, then I guess, possibly, maybe Sami Zayn.
[00:55:17] And then we get Kevin Owens winning the ladder match earlier in that night. So I am so looking forward to the Royal Rumble and I cannot wait to see comes out on top and who is going on to main event WrestleMania. Last up, we're gonna do quick reviews on both the Go Home Raw on Netflix and also the 80W collision. So I'm gonna go ahead and review that part specifically and a couple of different parts as well.
[00:55:56] But let's talk about the Go Home Raw and the two big moments that ended up happening. Now, first of all, because we did not have an episode in which we talked about the debut on January 6th of raw and Netflix. I'm gonna just say this about the Raw and Netflix. It is very weird that I am watching Raw on Netflix and then like, if something happens Monday night on like an actual national television show or, you know, sports game or basketball or whatever, I can't like go and flip to it. I have to basically go out of Netflix, go to YouTube TV, watch it on there, then go back. Like, I could have, like two things open, but that's like so much sensory that I just cannot be able to handle. So I'll just say this. It's very new, but I'll do this then. The presentation has been absolutely immaculate. It's very, you know, ufc, kind of like with the interviews that they get with Jackie Redmond and everybody else that's a part of that, Kathy Kelly, everybody.
[00:57:04] They are, you know, trying something new out, and it's brought a lot of success. There are millions and millions of viewers that are watching Raw every single week. It's live on Netflix. There have been no glitches, no nothing. And they've produced actually good matches and storylines. Everybody is talking about how long the Raw goes, whether it's a two hour, three hour, you know, what is considered the commercial. In the commercial, they still start filming like there's no break anymore. They are just continuing, continuing, continuing. So overall, an awesome production for Raw on Netflix and for the Go Home show of one of the first of the next three big pay per views that they have going on for WrestleMania. This was a really good show. But we're gonna talk about two big moments. And the first moment being, of course, in the World Tag Team Championship match with the War Raiders and the Judgment Day, which consisted of Dominic Mysterio and J.D. mcDonough.
[00:58:13] Oh, boy.
[00:58:16] So during the match, J.D. mcDonough went for a moonsault onto Ivor, and he went for the moonsault on the part where the announce table was and it was on the outside, it was to the outside, to the floor.
[00:58:45] And J.D. mcDonough got so much air on the moonsault and flipping backwards that when he came down back on to his back where Ivar basically was going to catch him, he completely hit his head and most of his upper body on the top of the announce table. He should have been concussed, he should have been axed. The match could have been called off, but instead McDonough got up, refused help and finished the match.
[00:59:27] Incredible.
[00:59:29] A lot of guts for him to do that. And it showed the tenacity and the amazing brute strength that J.D. mcDonough has had. If people remember when he was Jordan Devlin for NXT UK and then the situation happened with the MeToo movement and it caused a little bit of a rift. People didn't know how JD McDonough was going to elevate from that position. And then he did. He did his stuff in nxt and then he came up to the main roster and is now part of the group with one of his closest friends in Finn Balor. And most people have seen him as the fall guy in the Judgment Day. And now after that match and after that spot, I think a lot of people are going to appreciate him much more than ever. He's gotten lots of love on social media after the match. It was seen that once he got to the curtain, he completely collapsed. And then now it has been reported by him that he suffered a bruised rib. I believe he was either bruised or broken, ribbed and a punctured lung. My God, man, what a beast. What a beast. I wish him the best in recovery, man. Hopefully when he comes back, maybe turns face, maybe goes on a singles run. Do something, man. J.D. mcDonough is that guy.
[01:01:05] Now the second thing I want to talk about was the closing promo between Cody Rhodes CM Punk. Now to set the scene here.
[01:01:17] The final main event match was Drew McIntyre and Sami Zayn, in which Drew McIntyre cheated by using the ropes to pin Sami Zayn for the 1, 2, 3. After the match, Drew then proceeded to beat down on Sami, just like Sami Zayn came to Seth Rollins aid the week before. And Cody Rhodes comes down, he beats up Drew McIntyre. And then when Drew has Cody in the corner, just like last week with Seth Rollins, Sami Zayn runs up, Drew ducks out of the way and he hits Cody with the helluva kick. And you can see Sam's visually frustrated. Cody's looking up, he's like, geez, what the heck happened? And Sammy walks off and I thought that that was it, but no. Then Cody, after gaining himself, he picked up a mic and he said, I got a great view. Don't I hang above that championship. I spent 39 years, I spent my whole life, that's all I ever wanted to get my hands on.
[01:02:30] So what he's talking about is for, for, for month, for Monday Night Raw, because he's on the show. They had the undisputed championship and the Winged Eagle championship hanging above the ring. I don't know why the rivalry meant for smackdown, but I guess that they knew that Cody was coming and they said, okay, let's get his championship and the other wing championship out there. I should mention that also Kevin Owens was there, he did get beat down quickly and they tried to tag team Drew and Kevin Owens on Cody. And then Sammy inadvertently hit the helluva kick on Cody. Cody continued by saying, and you know what I found out the last seven months? I found out it's not about the belt, it's not about the physical belt. The belt Kevin Owens is convinced makes him a champion.
[01:03:21] What makes you a champion is the mindset, it's the work. Nobody in WWE has worked more matches than me. Nobody. I showed up first, I leave last. I continue to do so. And I'm looking forward to the Royal Rumble where I can get past Kevin Owens and find out when all of a sudden CM Punk comes out. CM Punk comes out and he tells Cody, he says, are you alright? And he's like, he says he's asking because he's his friend and he worries about him. He expresses and he says, it looks to me like all of this has got to you a little bit. He started reflecting back on when he had his championship days and he said, I was champion for 434 historic days. And somewhere around the 300 day mark, which Cody is at right now, it started to weigh on me. I started to get burnt out and frankly it turned me into somebody that I don't enjoy being most days. I lost friends because of that title. I see you losing friends left and right and I get it, you want to be Bruno San Martino, you want to come out here, you want to put on your face for your hometown in Atlanta, Georgia. You want to be John Cena, you want to do it all. But Cody, none of us can be Superman.
[01:04:41] And Cody fires back and he says, I don't have a lot of friends. But CM Punk, you're my friend, right? Punk says, yes. And that's why I'm out Here, because I'm talking to you right now. I'm not here to rain on your parade. I'm here to be your friend. And unlike everybody else you've surrounded yourself with, I promise you that I will always be your friend. And partly because of a promise I made to your father.
[01:05:05] But, Cody, I love you. I see the road that you're on. It's a road that I've traveled. And Punk warns Cody that the truth is, even your father could have not prepared you for this. You're the man unequivocally on top of the mountain. There are no friends when you're a champion in WWE and you have a target on your back. And then Cody starts talking about the same time last year when both Cody and Punk were in the Rumble. They ended up being the final two when Punk separated his tricep again, which caused him to be out for WrestleMania and basically cost him the Royal Rumble match. And Cody says, last year before the Royal Rumble, we stood in the ring like we're standing in right now, and you had a prediction.
[01:05:55] And he said, what next for me? Basically being like, come on, fortune teller, tell me what it is. And Punk basically says, okay, I'll tell you what's next for you in the short term, you're in your hometown. You get to sleep in your own bed tonight, which is rare, especially when you've been running as hard as you have. But I bet you're not going to go to sleep at all, because chances is you got an early call time and you're going to be doing media promotion for what is the biggest match of your entire career. At the Royal Rumble against Kevin Owens. He talked about the constant pressure of being the top star. And he's like, look at that title, Cody. That means something to a guy like me and you. He talks about crisscrossing the country because if you make it past Kevin Owens, who's one of the toughest SOBs in the locker room, a bit deranged, somebody who used to be a friend.
[01:06:45] So you're going to be too emotional. And if you make it past him, well, then there's the next show. There's Raw and smackdown, and they're on Netflix, and it's bigger than ever. You're the poster boy. That's what you asked for. And no matter how thin your spread and no matter how early the mornings are, and no matter how late the nights get, you sacrifice. That's what's in store for you. Less time at home with your daughter, less time with your wife, empty Nights, ironically, in a sold out stadiums, chaining your name because that means something to guys like you and me. And he continues, he says, look at the kids out there wearing your merch when you're crisscrossing entire country in your bus, draped in red, the white and the blue. Somebody is going to be busting their ass chasing you.
[01:07:35] Somebody's going to be getting in the best shape of their lives.
[01:07:39] Somebody is going to win the Royal Rumble and they're going to see you in the main event at WrestleMania.
[01:07:45] And while you're on the way down, they're on the way up and they're going to take that belt. And then Cody finally says, tell me the bad news. And Punk says, that bad news is that person is me. Unlike all these other people and your so called friends stabbing you in the back, I'm gonna win the Royal Rumble. And I will see you in the main event at WrestleMania. And because I'm your one true friend, I'm not gonna stab you in the back, I'm gonna stab you in the front. And confidently Cody responds to that cryptic message, pulls CM Punk back and he says, I respect you telling me that for sure, but allow me to share something with you. He talks about when Punk came in from ROH and he was in OVW and he was the Chick Madness, CM Punk and everybody wanted to beat him and everybody was chasing after him. And then he talks about when he got called up, he cashed in, became World Heavyweight Champion and soon after Cody followed after him and he was chasing him. And then a whole 10 year period where he sat at home, they were in the ring, some of your peers in the locker room and the crowd chanting your name, you were still the man and we were chasing you.
[01:09:06] But that dynamic has shifted because your prediction last year, one thing you were certainly wrong about that dynamic, this relationship, you and I, it completely changed. And you want to know why?
[01:09:19] It's because I'm not chasing you, you're chasing me. And friend, I want you to know I hope you win the Royal Rumble because I want you to catch up. And Punk basically tells him, nah, I'm not done. You really want to be like that? Okay. And he said, a lot of men have said that they hope it's me that catches them.
[01:09:43] But there's a graveyard full of careers that wanted me to catch them right up until I did. And then Cody finishes out, he says, I want you to catch up, I want you to win the Royal Rumble and I hope it's you because I want to See the look on your face when you find out that the best in the world is not the best in the world anymore. And Punk left.
[01:10:06] Now actually after Raw went off the air, Carmelo Hayes came out and beat up Cody.
[01:10:14] He's like, plot twist. I'm into the show and I'm the clearing for the Rumble. Very weird. It's so crazy seeing that like Carmelo just laid out Cody after he had already gotten laid out beforehand. It's like, oh my gosh, you know, when will it end for Cody? But overall, possibly one of the best Cody Rhodes promos in a very long time. And this is exactly what happened last year when it was Cody and Punk together they create magic. And like I said, if Punk wins, I think he doesn't even go for Cody. I think he goes for Gunter. But only time will tell.
[01:10:59] And this shows you also remember last year, the cryptic message, somebody bigger is coming to take that all away from you. And it wasn't Punk and it wasn't Roman, it was the Rock. He predicted that, saying, a much bigger star is going to come after you and you're going to bite off more than you can chew. And the Rock did that. And they had the Night one tag team match in the main event and the Rock and Roman beat Seth Rollins and Cody Rhodes. And then you had the Bloodline Rules match which was the array of run ins. And then Cody finally won the title. Could Punk be doing the same thing? Could he not be talking about himself even though he said he was? Could he be referring to somebody that is going to turn their back and take advantage of Cody?
[01:11:56] Could it be the Rock? Could it be Randy Orton? And if it was Randy, then, oh boy, wouldn't that be something? Randy turns his back, maybe even Sammy. But again, he's talking about getting into the best shape of their life, taking advantage of them. The only ones that come to mind is the Rock, who was buddying up with Cody on that Raw debut. And then the second one being Randy.
[01:12:27] Randy's been out for months. He could return to the Rumble, win it, or he wins the elimination chamber. And it's looking to be a friendly competition. And then all of a sudden that deranged apex predator comes back out and betrays Cody and he takes his title once and for all and we finally get that match because for the longest time people have said the one person that could take the title away from Cody is Randy Orton. And I'd love to see it. But that was Raw and we will finish up with a quick rundown of Collision. We won't talk about it like how we usually talk about it. It's kind of similar what we just did with Raw. We usually do play by play, but I'm just gonna do the highlights of the show.
[01:13:15] We had Samoa Joe beating Nick Wayne. We had Kazuchiko Okada beating Commander in a non title match. We had a six man tag with the undisputed Kingdom of Adam Cole, Kyle O'Reilly and Roderick Strong beating Angelo Parker in his return.
[01:13:34] Daniel Garcia and Matt Menard. Now I should mention before this was Collision Homecoming, this was their return to Daly's place in Jacksonville where it all pretty much started and helped them continue throughout the pandemic.
[01:13:51] But after this six man tag match that we got was the biggest pop of the night and it was the segment where Mariah May and Toni Storm finally met. Now if you've been following this since Toni Storm came back, and I think I had left out on this part, that it wasn't timeless Toni Storm, it was the rock and roll Aussie Toni Storm. And this storyline was that she had had amnesia and she it was her first time in aew, meaning that she did not remember any time beforehand.
[01:14:34] So basically she played this off as Storm, you know, being the rookie, she extended his her hand to Mariah.
[01:14:45] And Mariah May said that when she thinks about Storm, she feels nothing. She says that the fans also think Storm is nothing and Mae doesn't care about Storm and she never cared about her. And Mae will get off on humiliating Storm in her hometown at AW Grand Slam. And Storm replies by saying that she's one of Mae's biggest fans and one day she hopes that she's just like her. And Storm hugs Mae, but then Mae slaps her down twice. Mae grabs the belt, hits Storm in the face with it, and then proceeds to whip her with the belts. And Tony is selling and it's like Mariah Mae feels like she's done and all of a sudden she's like Mariah May, do you think that Toni Storm forgot who she was and she starts going into that timeless role? She goes crazy.
[01:15:49] She's like, do you think that the blood that was shed I have forgotten about.
[01:15:56] She takes off all of her stuff down to, well, her knickers as she would probably call them.
[01:16:04] And she says that the most difficult role an actress can play is that of herself and she is timeless to timeless. Timeless Toni Storm. She says Mariah May was born from Toni Storm's loins and she will shove her right back up there and spit her out.
[01:16:31] And she says that she is going to rip Mariah May's well, bosoms off. This was great.
[01:16:40] This was great.
[01:16:42] People, of course, had backlash. They're like, oh, you do a collision. Nobody cares about collision.
[01:16:48] Well, guess what? They were at their homecoming and they wanted to talk about it.
[01:16:56] And this Toni Storm character is exactly what they needed. It's one of the biggest reasons why she was one of the biggest stars in the women's division for AEW in 2024. The timeless gimmick got her over better than she has ever gotten over in her career.
[01:17:14] And she played off of, you know, forgetting that timeless Persona. And now she's back to being timeless Toni Storm. She's back to being the actress.
[01:17:28] And then in about two weeks time, she'll head to, I believe it's Brisbane, Australia for AEW Grand Slam Australia and she will probably win back the title. So that will be fun. The other matches that ended up happening were the Hounds of Hell, which is now Brody King and Buddy Matthews with Julia Hart. And they defeated Gates of Agony, which is Bishop Kong and Toa Lona. So this Hounds of Hell thing for people that do not know is because Malachi Black is completely done with aew. He's been doing some promotional work for some other wrestling indies.
[01:18:16] But yeah, Malachi Black was let out of his contract and now there is no more House of Black. It is now just the Hounds of Hell and it is Brody King and Buddy Matthews and Julia Hart having to basically continue being that team that just will cause mayhem whenever they want to. Their presentation look absolutely amazing. There was also a AEW TBS title Fatal 4 way eliminator match where Yukiya Sakazaki defeated Deonna Purrazzo, Queen Aminata and Serena. The pretty much nothing match. I don't know why they like to use a bunch of these Japanese stars for no reason other than Tony Khan loves playing with his toys and he loves the relationship that he basically conned out of New Japan Pro. After that, we got a video package on the Don Callis family. So you got Brian Cage, Konosuke Takeshna, who's in the main event after this, Kyle Fletcher and Lance Archer. And he talked about stopping Omega and Ospreay, which Ospreay and Omega will finally team together and take on Takeshna and Kyle Fletcher at Grand Slam Australia. He ended the package by saying, who said that there was only five of us? Because you got Cage, Takeshna Fletcher and Archer. So now there's a fifth member of the Don Callis family. The Revolving door of the Don Callis family. And the rumor is that possibly this could be a return of Trent Beretta in which Trent lost to Orange Cassidy at Double or nothing. And there was a segment where Cassidy took out Trent with a wrench and he's been out with a neck injury and he got neck surgery. So possibility of a return for Trent Beretta, I don't know if anybody would care. But you know, who knows, maybe Trent could come back. Kind of like how Jack Perry did, which that's another person we have not heard a lot of is what's Jack Perry doing? Jack Perry, he was recently there for the Russell Dynasty, so who knows. We then got to the main event which is the AEW International Championship match between Konosuke Takeshita and Katsuyori Shibata. During the break there was a back and forth continued battle with some explosive moves with Shibata delivering a running PK kick and a German suplex while Takeshina fired back with an exploder and a released German. Shibata then locked in a rear naked Shoke, but Takeshna powered out hitting Shibata with a tombstone and a power drive knee for two. After a series of hard strikes and some rolling elbows by Takeshna in a backdrop driver by both men, Shibata Octopus nearly submitted Takeshna, but then Don Callis came out of nowhere and allowed for Takeshna to counter with a blue Thunderbomb for a two. And then finally at the end, after a roll up by Shibata and a lariat from Takeshna, Takeshna finally hit the Falcon arrow and got the 1, 2, 3, retaining the AEW International Championship. Good match again. I try to pay attention to any TESHA moves that I can, but this Don Callis thing, I I really just. This Don Callis storyline has been going on for far too long and I'm hoping at one point or another we just absolutely end all of this and we finally get back to each of them just having a singles run and maybe Don Callis just steps away from wrestling, does a backstage role like he's so more on screen than he should, but overall very decent collision. Looking forward to AEW Grand Slam which currently the only matches that will be at the Bruce Bane Entertainment Center. The only two matches of course Tag Team Match Omega and Osprey against Takeshna and Fletcher and then of course Mariah May taking on Toni Storm. Most likely later there are three more dynamites that will end up happening in which that they will be able to get some matches on the card. The next dynamite we have it is at Huntsville, Alabama, where Mercedes Mone will take on Yuka Sakazaki. We got Brian Cage versus Will Ospreay, and then Claudio Castagnoli versus Jeff Jarrett. If Jeff Jarrett beats Claudio, then Jeff Jarrett gets his shot at the AEW Championship. So. So that is it for our AEW Collision review. And that is it for today's episode of the Rocking Review. I want to thank you so much for listening. Just a reminder that we are officially on the wnyo889.org website under Podcasts. This is where if you go to the podcast tabs, you can see all of our featured podcasts that is produced here at WNYO 889 in Oswego. And I want to thank you again for listening.
